Cottage. Mid C17, altered C18 and C20. Red brick, partly in
English bond. Pantile roof with raised brick coped tumbled
gables, with single ridge stack. Lobby entry plan. Single
storey plus garret, 3 bay front with dentillated eaves course.
Central C20 door, flanked by single C20 3 light casements, all
with brick segmental heads. The door is in the blocking of a
wide archway of C18 character, now also containing 3 reused C16
stone tiles, with relief decoration of 2 fleur de lys and a
lion's head. To left a single storey, single bay recessed C18
service block contains a single fixed light. To the rear a lean-
to outshot. Also known as Massom Cottage.
