II

Methodist chapel. 1837, altered later C19. Red brick in English
garden wall bond of 3, pantiled roof, some yellow brick
dressings. Single storey, 4 bay front with dentillated eaves
course. Having off-centre 4 panelled door with stained and
bordered overlight. To left a single and to right a pair of
glazing bar sashes, also a wrought iron lantern bracket. To
right gable a rectangular ashlar datestone is inscribed 1837. To
rear wall are 3 further glazing bar sashes; the openings have
been reduced in size. Interior retains matchboard panelling to
walls, deal benches and panelled preacher's desk with stick
baluster staircase and turned knopped newel.
