Barrow Hill Farm House

G.V. II

Farmhouse. Mid C19. Built for the Whichcote family of Aswarby Park.Coursed
squared limestone rubble, slate roofs with raised stone coped gables,
moulded kneelers and 2 pairs of gable and ridge ashlar stacks with lozenge
set funnels and stepped cornices. T-plan. Single storey plus attics 2 bay
front, the right hand bay being slightly advanced and gabled, corbelled
eaves course. To left is a 2 light window and to the right a rectangular
bay with hipped ashlar roof and a 3 light window. To first floor is a 2
light window to right and to left a through eaves gabled dormer with
corbels and a 2 light window. All windows are plain casements with
chamfered mullions and surrounds.
