10/82 Barn at Fieldby
House

G.V. II

Barn. 1772, with minor C19 alterations. Coursed limestone rubble with
ashlar quoins and dressings, red brick, pantiled roof having raised stone
coped gables. Single storey 2 bay front with central planked stable door
with to left a fixed C19 2 light iron louvered window, both openings have
segmental brick heads. To right a small triangular breather. To the left a
pent roofed extension with stone base and red brick raising. Matching
window and smaller stable door. In the left hand gable a datestone of 1772.
In the right hand gable a further breather and a 2 light opening with brick
surround. In the rear are 2 breathers, an opening blocked in red brick and
a dated quoin stone. Interior retains softwood clasped purlin roof.
