GV II

Former staff house, recently used as offices. 1902. In the Italianate
style. Coursed limestone rubble with slate hipped roof and 2 bracketed
stacks. Raised quoins, chamfered plinth cill band, first floor band and
dentilated eaves. 2 storey. West front, 4 bay with off-centre projecting
porch with ashlar coped parapet, single glazing bar sash and doorway to right
return. To the right a pair, and to the left a single glazing bar sashes.
Above 2 single and a pair of glazing bar sashes. All openings have raised
ashlar surrounds with segment heads and flush keystones. Built as part of St
John's Hospital.
