War memorial. c1920. Gothic style. Portland stone with lead fishscale tile
roof. Square single step base. Square plan, with an open pointed arch to
each face except to the west which has a plaque recording the names of those
who died in the Great War. Each arch has columnar responds and a moulded
arch with minor tracery and above a gable containing a trefoil. The 4 gables
have foliate crockets and finials. Each corner has small buttresses which
rise to form crocketed finials. Inside a simple quatropartite stone vault
with ribs, over a central ornate iron cross, and 4 curved ornate iron
brackets supporting a central statute.
