19-2-52 II

Farmhouse, C17 with C19 alterations. Coursed limestone rubble with
ashlar quoins and dressings, pantile roof with stone kneelers, stone
coped gables and ridge and gable stacks with moulded cornices. T-plan.
Two storey three bay front with garrets, cyma moulded eaves cornice.
Central glazed panelled C19 door in plain surround flanked by single
four light windows with ovolo moulded mullions and moulded cornices.
On the first floor is a central two light mullioned window flanked by
three light mullioned windows with moulded cornices. Internally, a moulded
C17 doorcase with an eared surround, probably from the original front door,
is built into the wall between the hall and kitchen, and in the former
kitchen is a chamfered beam with complex stops. The roof is oak and
of run-through butt purlin type.
