SK 94 SW SYSTON THE DRIFT

5/114 The Old Cottage

II

Cottage; C17 with C19 alterations and additions. Coursed limestone
rubble, ashlar quoins and brick dressings with pantile roof and brick
gable stacks. Single storey plus attic; 5 bay facade. At right hand
end a C20 plain boarded door with segmental brick head. To left a
single glazing bar sash with brick segmental head, beyond a small fixed
light with wooden lintel and beyond again two glazing bar casement two
light wiodows with segmental brick heads. Two 2-light casement
dormers with sloping pantile roofs and rendered cheeks. To right a
single storey one bay C19 extension with glazing bar sash.
