SK 94 SE SYSTON SYSTON PARK

House, former gate lodge; circa 1830 with later C19 additions, coursed
squared limestone rubble with ashlar dressings, low pointed slate roof
with lead dressings and off centre stone stack. Octagonal with small
service range to rear and later extension to right. Single storey with
garret. Plinth, stone band above window heads, parapet with narrow
moulded cornice. Double doors on south side, each with four panels,
covered by porch with paired engaged Tuscan columns supporting a plain
moulded entablature, above is a plain recessed rectangular panel. On
flanking sides are single glazing bar sash windows with plain stone lintels.
Above band are plain recessed roundels. Remaining sides are blank,
apart from the north west side where the roundel above the band contains
an opening leaded light to garret. Interior has shutters and original
fireplace.
