Estate cottage. c.1840-5. By William Burn. Squared coursed
limestone rubble with ashlar quoins and dressings. Slate roofs
with lead dressings, stone coped gables and kneelers, 2 tall
octagonal ashlar stacks. T-plan. Single storey with attics, the
entrance front of 3 bays has the left hand pair slightly advanced
and separately gabled. The central ashlar porch has stone coped
gables with kneelers and 3 shouldered archways, one to each open
side, with behind a plank and muntin door. To left a narrow
single light and to right a 2 light window. In the gable over a
2 light window with chamfered mullion. To the garden front a
canted ashlar bay window with hipped stone roof and 2 light and
single light windows.
