House, gate and railings. C17, raised and refronted early C19.
Coursed limestone rubble, ashlar front, slate roof with raised
stone coped gables and 2 large gable stone stacks. 3 storey, 3
bay front with plain plinth, projecting stone cornice and
parapet. Central panelled door with plain overlight, flanked by
single glazing bar sashes. To first floor 3 similar sashes. To
second floor 3 smaller sashes. All openings have shallow
cambered heads and raised keystones. Interior retains stick
baluster stair with carved string, moulded architraves with
squares to the angles. In front of the house is a low wall
bearing cast iron railings with dagger tops and matching
pedestrian and double access gates with Gothick details and
pierced panels to either side of the pedestrian gate.
