7/129 Nos.63 and 65
(behind Coal Yard)
Former house, now 2 cottages. C17, extended and altered late
C18, C19 alterations. Coursed limestone rubble, ashlar quoins,
red brick, pantile roof with single external gable and ridge red
brick stacks. Originally baffle entry. 2 storey plus attics, 6
bay front with off-centre planked door, flanked by single 2 light
glazing bar casements. To left a further planked door and single
flanking windows. The windows are linked by a continuous timber
lintel, (possibly fossilizing earlier framed construction.) In
the roof are 3 gabled dormers with rendered cheeks. To the rear
and the right are C19 brick extensions. Interior retains roughly
chamfered beams and Stamford marble floor.
