Grange Farm

Barn, loose boxes and stables. c.1840 incorporating some re-used
C14 material. Coursed limestone rubble with ashlar quoins and
dressings, slate and asbestos roofs. U-plan. Stable and trap
house range, single storey, 9 bay front, the right hand 3 bays
are separately gabled. 4 planked doors with overlights and
ashlar lintels, 3 small semi-circular headed openings with cast
iron louvred lower lights, and a single basket arched opening to
trap house with planked double doors and to right a similar
opening to yard at rear. Tall steeply pitched barn, with
asbestos roof, in the gable end are 2 reset pointed lights with
chamfered surrounds and moulded heads and to the side are 3
basket arched openings. To the right of the street gable, a
further single storey range, blank to the street, containing
loose boxes which front onto a small crew yard.
