House. C17, altered and extended early C18 and late C18.
Squared coursed limestone rubble, ashlar quoins and dressings.
Welsh slate roof with stone coped gables. Parallel ranges, the
rear range is the earlier. 3 storey, 5 bay front with moulded
dentillated cornice and plain parapet with panels containing low
relief carvings of flowers and fruit. Central 8 flush panel door
with roundels, having early C18 moulded stone architrave with
broken segmental pediment, flanked by pairs of glazing bar
sashes. To first floor are 5 similar windows and to second floor
5 smaller similar windows. All windows have moulded architraves,
raised keyblocks with flower motifs and those on the upper floors
have scrolled sill brackets. To the left hand side evidence of
the C18 refronting and later raising can be seen. The rear range
has C17 ground floor window with moulded surround and cornice.
To first floor are 2 glazing bar sashes with stone architraves.
Interior. The rear wing has chamfered and stopped beams. The
late C18 dogleg staircase has turned balusters and moulded
handrail. Two first floor rooms have full length height C18
Panelling and bolection moulded fireplace surrounds.
