ASLACKBY AND AVELAND'S WAY
TF 03 SE LAUGHTON (north side)
3/4 Gateway to
Aslackby Manor
G.V. II*

Gateway. Mid C17. Limestone ashlar. Flat headed entrance with
rectangular moulded architrave and rectangular jambs on each
side, small round headed opening to right at ground level, as
bootscraper. Moulded eaves above and gabled top with central
ball finial. Possibly re-using medieval ashlar. Wall continues
to east with remnants of 2 red brick blind openings above on
corner, probably part of C17 lodge, no longer extant.
