Aslackby Manor
House

Barn, sometime Methodist Chapel, now outhouse. C17, early C19,
late C19, C20. Red brick, some limestone rubble and ashlar.
Pantile roof with moulded brick eaves. 2 storey, 5 irregular bay
front. Large doorway to right with wooden lintel and double
plank doors. Taller doorway to left with segmental head, raised
ashlar keystone and double plank doors. Narrow brick buttress to
left with clearbreak in bonding beyond. Blocked doorway with
segmental head to left, with squat buttress beyond. A little
above, to left, a semi-circular headed chapel window with glazing
bars, inserted. Buttress to left with doorway beyond with wooden
lintel and double stable doors. Slit breather above, and 2 light
casement in far right hand bay. South gable end with a wooden
staircase leading up to doorway with wooden lintel and plank
door. Rubble lower rear wall. Included for group value only.
