3/16 Manor Farmhouse
Farmhouse. Mid C17 with mid C18 and early C19 alterations. Red
brick, some limestone rubble, some render. Pantile roofs with
brick coped gables, gable stacks and single ridge stack to rear.
T-plan. 2 storey, 3 bay front with coursed limestone rubble and
brick plinth and decorated eaves. Central doorway with
overlight, brick wedge lintel and partially glazed door. Doorway
flanked by single glazing bar sashes. 2 similar windows above
flank single glazing bar sash. All the windows have brick wedge
lintels, that over the door with a small ogee arch to the
underside. Rear elevation has 2 C17 windows with brick drip
moulds. North gable end with brick band underneath render.
These features suggest that the house was originally built in the
C17 Fen Artisan Mannerist style, which complements Aslackby Manor
House. To north, a C19 slate roofed lean-to.
