(Morton House)

House. c.1800. Coursed ironstone rubble, limestone ashlar
dressings. Hipped slate roof behind high parapet, single tall
stock brick ridge and lateral stacks to rear. 2 storey, 3 bay
front with central pedimented bay projecting slightly and defined
by plain ashlar bands; first floor ashlar band and eaves and
ashlar coped parapet. Central doorway with semi-circular head,
ashlar doorcase with moulded imposts and scrolled keystone,
traceried fanlight and partially glazed door. Doorway flanked
by single glazing bar sashes, with 3 glazing bar sashes above,
all with ashlar quoined surrounds and raised keystones. Oval in
pediment containing foliage and coat of arms.
