5/8 Pigeoncote to Barholm
Old Hall

G.V. II*

Pigeoncote. c.1600. Coursed limestone rubble, ashlar quoins and
dressings. Collyweston slate roof having raised stone coped
gables with eaves and ridge obelisk finials. Rectangular plan.
2 storey, single bay gabled front having low 4 centred arched
doorway, reused planked door with facetted wooden reveals with
stop chamfers. Above a single 2 light ovolo moulded mullioned
window with ashlar surround and cornice. On the ridge are 2
slate hung squared louvred flight turrets. Butt purlin pegged
oak roof. Stone lined nesting boxes and ledges, all complete.
