TF 1210-1310 MARKET DEEPING CHURCH STREET
(west side)

12/134 Greens School

G.V. II

Former school, now playgroup centre. 1851. Squared coursed
limestone rubble, ashlar quoins and dressings, Collyweston slate
roof having crested ridge tiles, raised stone coped gables and
kneelers, and 2 external gable stacks. L-plan. Single storey, 3
bay front, the bays being separately gabled with fleur de lys
finials. Central 2 light window in a moulded and trefoil headed
cusped surround, set in a moulded rectangular frame with hood
mould, flanked by single 3 light stone mullioned and transomed
windows. Above the central windows a square panel records the
construction date of 1851 and to the gable is a pierced trilobe.
