2/215 Barn to West


Barn. C17, altered C19 and C20. Timber frame with partial
limestone rubble underbuilding, also with red brick overbuilding.
Pantile roofs. Single storey, 4 bays of oak frame, posts only
remaining and to the top of the side wall some wattle and daub.
Otherwise the frame has been encased in later brick and
stonework. To left double planked doors and to right a single
similar door under timber lintels. Oak clasped purlin roof.
More substantial sections of wattle and daub walling survive in
the rear.
