TF 01 NE TOFT WITH LOUND BOWTHORPE PARK
AND MANTHORPE

Farm House

Farmhouse. Early C17, altered C19, C20. Coursed limestone
rubble, ashlar quoins and dressings. Collyweston slate roof, 2
gable ashlar stacks, the left hand one is external, with moulded
plinths, paired shafts and cornices. T-plan. 2 storey, 3 bay
front with chamfered plinth. Central C20 fully glazed door in
moulded ashlar surround with cornice, flanked by single 4 light
ovolo mullioned windows with cornices. To first floor a central
lower 3 light window with cornice, flanked by single 4 light
mullioned windows to eaves. Interior retains contemporary oak
staircase with deeply moulded handrail, plain square newels with
moulded terminals, turned balusters. 2 C17 ashlar chimney pieces
with Tudor arched heads and cornices. Oak framed roof of butt
