Early-mid c19 front elevation. Main section of 3 storeys, stuccoed, Chanelled
stucco ground floor with plain windows and door with rectangular fanlight. Upper
storeys have full-height 2-storey pilasters of a Greek Corinthian form. Windows
with glazing bars. 1st floor windows have plain plasters in angles. Cornice
and pediment. Left-hand building of 3 storeys, chanelled stucco ground floor,
2 upper storeys of brick. Blocking course. Welsh slate roof. Moulded dentil
eaves cornice. 2 windows, a shallow 2-storey canted oriel with grooved wood
pilasters, C19 glazing, and one window to the right with carved stucco lintel
with keystone. Stucco band between storeys.
No 17, Midland Bank and Premises occupied by Masons, Fuller, Chatterton & Haxby
form a group.
