7/28 The Ship Inn Hotel

G.V. II

Posting house, now hotel. Early C19, C20. Colourwashed brick,
some render and with painted stucco dressings. Slate roof with
stone coped gables and moulded wooden eaves. 3 storey, 3 bay
front with colourwashed rendered plinth. Central carriage
archway with basket arch, stucco lintel with raised keystone and
C20 long overlight with glazing bars; central, narrow glazed
band flanked by single glazing bar doors. Carriage archway
flanked by single glazing bar sashes, 3 three light glazing bar
sashes above with segmental head, and 3 smaller glazing bar
sashes above. All the windows with stucco wedge lintels.
