II

Farmhouse, now house. Late C18, C20. Colourwashed brick.
Pantile roof with large shaped stone coped gable with central urn
and flanking ball finials. 2 storey, 3 bay front, the latter
articulated by giant order, blind archway consisting of taller,
broader central arch flanked by single arches. First floor flat
band runs across whole front acting as imposts between archways.
Central doorway with glazing bar door, flanked by single 2 light
sliding sashes. Single glazing bar sash above flanked by single
2 light sliding sashes. All the openings with segmental heads.
In head of central archway is a small oculus surrounded by iron
ties inscribing the date "1829". However, on old photograph
reveals this date as:'"1..8", thus the date inscribed is suspect
and the style of the building suggests a late C18 date. C20
lean-to to right.
