House. 1842. Stock brick with ashlar dressings. Flat asphalt
roof with 3 brick stacks; slate ro rear. Projecting ashlar eaves
and rendered parapet. Square plan. 2 storeys, 3 bay south-west
front with deep plinth and deep brick first floor band extending
to ashlar sill band. Central doorway with recessed ashlar porch
with 4 rectangular columns, broad entablature and balustrade
above; wall pilasters echo columns; overlight, flanking narrow
lights and panelled door. Doorway flanked by long qlazing bar
sashes with eared architraves. 2 glazing bar sashes above, both
with moulded ashlar architrave, flank a pair of glazed doors with
marginal and overlights and with moulded ashlar architrave.
North-east and south-east fronts are identical. Both have a deep
plinth and broad first floor band extending up to ashlar sill
band. Flanking bays with broad, 2 storey, projecting bands.
Central group of single long glazing bar sashes, flanking glazed
door; divided by ashlar pilasters and with broad entablature.
Single glazing bar sashes flank this group, with eared moulded
architraves. 3 glazing bar sashes above with moulded
architraves. Truncated servants' wing to rear of no interest. 3
flight return staircase with wrought iron curling bannisters,
carved tread ends and mahogany hand rail. Moulded cornices.
Ground floor doorcases with pediments and pilasters.
