Wheelhouse at Thoresway Water Mill

Wheelhouse of watermill. 1816. Colourwashed red brick, pantile
roof with tumbled gables and dentillated eaves. Single
storey. Doorway to right with segmental head and plank door.
Small opening at ground level, to left with wooden lintel. Small
opening above, with segmental head. Opening to left with
segmental head and plank shutter. Round black and yellow metal
disc to left with mileage to Market Rasen and London. Bricked up
oculus above. Oculi in both gables, lower opening of millrace in
south wall partially blocked. Waterwheel inside partially
intact. Originally the machinery ran under the road to building
on otherside, now a farm building.
