TF 09 NW OWERSBY THORNTON LE MOOR

4/50 Old Rectory

Former rectory, now house; 1788 with alterations and extension of
1833, yellow brick with red brick dressings, concrete tiled roof
with rendered end stacks and brick coped tumbled gables. 2
storey front with dentillated eaves course with 3 bays having
central 6 panelled 1/2 glazed door with traceried overlight in
chinese style, covered by later C19 open porch with dentillated
eaves and triangular headed side windows. To either side are
single glazing bar sashes with flat red brick heads. Above are 3
similar shorter glazing bar sashes. The south gable end has 2
steel tie plates in the form of'I B'. The dating evidence has
been verified by the terriers at Lincoln Archives office.
