TF 08 NE WEST RASEN OFF FORGE LANE

11/67 Holme Farm House

Farmhouse; mid C18 with early C19 and mid C19 alterations and
additions. Red brick in English garden wall bond, stucco and
ashlar dressings with pantile roof having brick coped gables and
kneelers, 2 end and one ridge stack. L-plan. 2 storey with
garret, with first floor brick band, and corbelled out eaves,
main front of 3 bays with central 1/2 glazed C19 door having
moulded door surround of early C19 Greek style, set into porch
which has been encased and enlarged in mid C19 with rusticated
stucco piers supporting entablature. To either side are single
C19 wide glazing bar sashes with segmental heads and splayed
ashlar lintels. 1st floor has central glazing bar sash flanked
by single wide glazing bar sashes. Both gables have 2nd floor
brick bands. The rear wings are early and mid C19 additions.
Interior: the staircase has turned balusters of mid C18 type.
