TA 11 SW BROCKLESBY BROCKLESBY PARK

1/12 Garden Urn

G.V. II*

Garden urn, late C18. Probably by James Wyatt. Coade stone. Urn
on square pedestal. 2 steps up to base in form of classical
altar with floriate panels, rams heads at the upper corners
linked by swags. Above is an urn with gadrooned lower part and a
decorated upper part with a frieze of classical figures: flaring
rim has foliage and branches on underside in bas relief.
