TA 11 SE KEELBY SOUTH STREET

2/127 No.1 and outbuild-
ings and railings

G.V. II

House, stable, wall and railings, C17, late C18 with C19
alterations. Brick with pantiled roof having eaves cornice
supported on prominent brackets, raised stone gables and 2 gable
stacks. 2 storey 3 bay front. Central 6 panelled door with
traceried overlight, panelled reveals and wooden doorcase with
narrow hood. Flanked by single plain sashes, on the first floor
are 3 similar windows; the lower windows have splayed rubbed
brick flat arches slightly advanced. To left is a single storey
late C17 brick building with a steeply pitched brick coped
tumbled gable. Before the house is a fine set of late C18 iron
railings with alternating sinuous and vertical square section
railings which terminate above the top rail in decorative knops.
To the right is a contemporary high brick garden wall.
