Small country house, c1840. Yellow brick, ashlar dressings,
hipped slate roof with lead dressings, 2 wall stacks, rendered
sides. 2 storeys with first floor stone band, deeply overhanging
cornice, brick parapet with stone coping concealing roof. 5 bay
front, centre bay slightly recessed. Central 6 panelled raised
and fielded door with Chinese traceried overlight in panelled
reveals and surround with Corinthian porch having pilasters and
circular columns, approached up 5 steps. Full entablature with
dentillated cornice. Flanked by 2 deep glazing bar sashes with
all round borders with heavily carved console brackets to deep
cornices over. 5 first floor windows are glazing bar sashes,
sitting on first floor band and have slightly plainer moulded
console brackets to cornices over. Interior has moulded cornices
and panelled doors, together with 2 contemporary fireplaces. At
rear is a lower 2 storey wing with hip and tall chimney stack,
rendered, with 2 segmental headed windows to first floor.
