Lodge Cottage

Lodge cottage. Early c19. Coursed limestone rubble in part painted.
Hipped slate roof with lead dressings and central ridge brick stack.
Single storey 2 bay front with lower 2 bay wing to rear. The entrance
front is recessed behind 4 timber uprights with 3 wire arches between
to form covered way. The planked entrance door has to the right a
3 light casement. The road elevation has 2 vertical sashes. All openings
have segmental heads. The lodge is by the park gates to Hackthorne
Hall
