3.1.84 II

Small country house, now Cheshire Home. 1911. Orange, red and
blue brick. Steeply pitched hipped plain tile roofs with
projecting moulded wooden eaves with moulded brick dentillations;
1 ridge and 4 lateral stacks. H-plan. 2 storeys and attic, 9
bay east front with plinth, first floor band and quoins. Central
bay projects slightly with blue brick diaper decoration, outer 2
bays on each side project far forward. Central doorway with
moulded ashlar doorcase with open pediment with cartouche, ornate
overlight and double panelled doors. 4 glazing bar sashes on
each side, 9 glazing bar sashes above, all with flush wedge
lintels. 3 hipped dormers with 2 light casements. 3 bay south
front with blue brick diaper decoration with outer, projecting 2
storey canted bays. Central doorway with double glazing bar
doors with ashlar cartouche above. 3 glazing bar sashes on each
side, on both storeys. Single glazing bar sash above doorway.
All windows with flush wedge lintels. 3 hipped dormers with 2
light casements. Interior panelled rooms and good contemporary
staircase.
