gate and wall piers
II
House, screen, gate and wall piers. C.1800, altered c.1840. Red
brick in Flemish bond, slate roof, brick coped gables, 2 gable
stacks. L-plan. 2 storey, 3 bay front with central panelled
door and reveals, panels being semi-circular, plain overlight,
plain pilastered surround, flat hood on scrolled brackets,
flanked by single glazing bar sashes. To first floor 3 margin
light sashes. All windows have flat splayed stucco lintels with
fluted keyblocks. Piers, gate and railings in front, cast iron
spear terminals to screen, matching gate with newels, flanking
tall corner brick piers with painted ashlar acorn finials.
