Built circa 1820 for Thorns Coventry, now part of Goldsmiths' College, London
University. L-plan, with entrance block in re-entrant angle. Two storeys,
over high casement. Yellow brick. Deep eaves with paired wooden brackets;
hipped, low-pitched, slate roofs with flats. Front irregularly fenestrated
with straight-headed and cambered sashes; garden front one window; entrance
with window above in stuccoed canted bay, 3 windows; sashes with glazing bars,
straight, skewback heads, blind boxes. Extensive grounds laid out as botanic
garden have remnants of brick walls and gateways, not of special interest.
