C18 red brick mansion with many additions. Main block, mid C18, with 2 storey,
3 dormers in tiled mansard roof behind parapet. Two full height 3 window flanking
bays. Central Venetian window on first floor. On the ground floor the central door
and window on either side are now covered by a conservatory filling the space between
the bays. Three window, 2 storey and dormer wing of same date on left with late C18
or early C19, 3 storey wing beyond. The right is a loWer (? earlier) long, 2 storey
wing with steep pitched roof and irregularly spaced windows, beyond this is a C19
cottage, sheds, etc. Window glazing mostly modern except in case of late C18 wing.
Behind this wing is a taller 3 storey C19 block. Lately bought by Oliver Borthwick as
the Memorial "Morning Post" Home.
