Circa 1700, probably just after. Red brick house with brick band at each floor.
Three storey, 5 bays with 2 storey, 3 bay addition. Sash windows with glazing bars.
Slate roof with timber cornice at eaves. Flat stone doorcase with broken pediment on
the east side. Modern alteration which must have changed the internal planning. The
original central doorway (now indoors) has elaborately decorated head, broken
pediment with Roman bust. Original internal features include a panelled stairhall
with 3 turned balusters to each step; there are also worthwhile fireplaces, doors,
etc. The garden front is exactly the same, brick tile service wing to left with
modern leaded casements.
