Late C18 or early C19 (rebuilt 1832, Thorne). Originally 2 pair of red brick
almshouses but now 2 Gothic facades of flint of early C19 character. Two storeys,
3 windows, Gothic tracery, 2 quatrefoil windows above. Two doorways with original
doors. North gable has large Y tracery feature on wall. Stepped gable. Plaque
commemorates the founding of the almshouses in 1678.
