Architects C M Crickmer and Allen Foxley. Two storeys, 5 windows. Sashes with
shutters to ground floor. Doorcase like that of No 1 but boxed in wood and with
the fanlight above the cornice enclosed in a pediment. Two 2 light dormers with
flat roofs. This house seeks to agree in general with No 1 opposite.
Nos 1 and 8 are of inferior architecture to the rest but must be included on
account of the striking general layout of the Close as a whole.
