1893 by Runtz. In an early C16 French 'Loire chateaux' style. Terracotta. 4
storeys and attic. Modern shop front with original strapwork fascia. Facade symmetrical
to 2nd floor level with 2 bay centre piece of mullioned and transomed windows,
pedestalled Tuscan pilasters and superimposed order of Ionic pilasters and pierced
balustrade. Rhythm of facade changes at 3rd floor level with 3 mullioned and transomed
windows surmounted by asymmetrically placed triangular gable containing window
with strapwork. To left octagonal 2 storey tower with strapwork frieze, cornice,
and cupola. Crouching devil on apex of gable, chimera on corbel of tower.
