Dated 1631. Portland stone gateway in coarse classical style. Architraved opening
flanked by Ionic half pilasters and sections of entablature. Pediment with carving
of corpse in tympanum. Large tablet over opening with recut inscription and date.
Gateway now blocked converted into fountain in 1965, (moved from its original position
at south east angle of church where it formed the entrance to the churchyard RCHM).
