1866, by G Somers Clarke. Narrow fronted building of Portland stone in Venetian
gothic style. Plinth and some decorations of pink sandstone. 5 storeys plus another
in altered, tiled roof. Long returns, that to west faced only in yellow brick
where screened by adjoining church. Large arched entrance with enrichment. Recessed
4 light windows above with balcony to 1st floor. Bracketted cornice to roof and
stone dormer at front - leaded dormers at side. Chimney stacks. Returns in similar
style.
