1903 by Chatfield Clarke. Stone faced. 3 main storeys plus 2 attic storeys, the
upper 1 recessed. Triangular block with rounded corner bay. 4 bays to Threadneedle
Street, 7 to Old Broad Street, the centre 3 bays slightly recessed. Ground floor,
semi-circular window arches with hollow splayed reveals. 1st floor windows with
blocked surrounds, massive keystones, and cornices. 2nd floor windows architraved
and with flanking Ionic half pilasters. Lower attic storey above modillion cornice
has architraved windows with ears, and surmounting balustrade. Plain recessed
upper attic replacing original steep roof storey.
