1876 by W W Pocock. (Remodelled internally and bridge over the Avenue constructed
1955-56). Stone faced. Free Cinquecento style. Ground floor with elliptical
rusticated arches between panelled piers now altered to form an arcade over the
footway. 1st floor windows in aedicules with alternating triangular and segmental
pediments and separated by detached giant Corinthian columns embracing 1st and
2nd storeys. Full entablature breaking forward over columns. Tall balustrade in
front of recessed attic.
