Early C19 terrace. Unified composition has 3 centre houses projecting slightly
and the blocking course above them raised in centre for panel holding inscription
"Union Place." Each house 3 storeys and sunk basement, 2 windows. Multicoloured
stock brick with stone cornice and blocking course. Band at 1st floor cills.
Gauged brick arches to sash windows with glazing bars, those on 1st and 2nd floor
flat, those on ground floor round headed in round arched recesses, with stucco
spring string, resting on stuccoed basement plinth. Interlaced glazing bars
to ground floor window heads. 3 steps to doors of 6 panels with reeded quadrant
pilasters, mutule cornice heads and patterned, semi-circular fanlights.

Nos 56 to 62 (even) Union Place form a group with West Greenwich Secondary School.
