Mid C19. 3-storey angle building with 3 windows on each side and one blank window
in recessed, rounded corner section. Multicoloured stock brick with stuccoed
ground and 1st floor. Stuccoed frieze, moulded cornice and blocking course.
Balustraded parapet with rounded angle panel inscribed "The Morden Arms", Segmental
pediment with acanthus moulding in tympanum above this. Parapet panels with
small pediments over, half way along sides; and end panels with urn finials over.
Round arched 2nd floor windows have cable moulding inside moulded architrave
with kyeystones. Middle window on Circus Street blocked. Cill string. Moulded
architraves to 1st floor windows, the centre ones shouldered under swell friezes
with fluting and paterae; dentil cornice and segmental pediment over. Side 1st
floor windows have friezes with swags under dentil cornice and pediment. 1st
floor cills rest on moulded and dentilled cornice of ground floor whose bays
are divided by paired, panelled, quasi-Corinthian pilasters. 2- and 3-light
leaded windows have cast iron top grilles and moulded bands with flutes and paterae
below. Half glazed doors.
