Single house of early-mid C17 divided and refronted mid-late C18. 3 storeys.
3 windows irregularly placed. No 20 yellow stock brick, No 22 multicoloured
stock brick. High pitched roof now machine tiled. Recessed sash windows with
glazing bars, those on ground floor of No 22 replaced. Gauged flat brick arches
and stucco lined reveals to windows of No 20. Moulded stucco architraves to
windows of No 22. Prostyle Tuscan porches with balls instead of modillions to
cornice. 6-panel doors, the 2 upper panels glazed. No 20 has patterned radial
fanlight and No 22 rectangular fanlight with glazing bars. Cast iron area railings
to No 20.

All the listed buildings on the West Side of Cromps Hill from Nos 6 to 46 (even)
and Nos 38 and 40 form a group.
