Circa 1630. C18 alterations and additions. 2 storeys and attic. 4 windows,
with windows in twin gables. Brick, washed with Venetian red. Slate roof.
1st floor, has blind panels of varying widths and is divided into irregular bays
by moulded brick Doric pilasters supporting a continuous brick entablature and
resting on brick band at 1st floor level broken around bases, with flat corbels
with shaped sides tapering down to point. Above high brick parapet are twin
pedimented gables. Each gable has square panel to recessed semi-circular tympanum
above window and sloping parapet each side to main parapet. 3-light flush mullion
and transom windows with rectangular leading, renewed. Central door of 6 panels,
with wood-blocked fanlight, under renewed round, gauged brick arch. 4 stone
steps have wrought iron curved handrails with twist standards. Old round-arched
entrance to passageway at left. One small window inserted to left of right gable
window.

All the listed buildings on the West Side of Crooms Hill from Nos 54 to 68
form a group.
