Early-mid C18 house with alterations. 3 storeys and basement, 3 windows. Mid
C19 stuccoed front with frieze, modillion cornice and parapet concealing roof.
Shouldered architraves to windows, those on 1st floor moulded, with cornices
over. Friezes also to 1st floor windows; and bracketed cills continuous with
string; also sunk panels beneath. Banded, rusticated ground floor with blocking
course. Mid C19 door has rectangular fanlight with curved top angles and modified
entablature with vermiculate pilasters. Outside this a Gibbs surround with alternate
blocks and keystone vermiculate. Inside the original staircase has cut string
and 2 balusters with square knops to each tread. 3 early-mid C19 fireplaces
remain, one with original cast iron centre and basket grate.

Nos 165 to 169 (odd) form a group.
